Jane Hillermann Obituary

Jane M. Hillermann, 86, of Washington, passed away on September 25, 2024. Mrs. Hillermann, daughter of the late Victor Renfert and Adele nee Straatmann, was born on September 26, 1937, in Union. She received her education from St. John’s Gildehaus Catholic School. On September 7, 1957, she was united in marriage to Robert B. Hillermann at the Immaculate Conception Church in Union.

Jane enjoyed crocheting and needle point, and she was an excellent seamstress. She was an avid reader, loved to go camping, and loved spending time with her friends and family.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Brenda Richards; granddaughter, Theresa Hillermann and brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard Hillermann and wife Lucille, Bertha Eckelkamp and husband Maurice, Maurice Hillermann, Peter Hillermann, and Rosella Hillermann.

Among her survivors are her husband, Robert B. Hillermann of Washington; two children, Bob Hillermann and wife Donna of Washington and Susan Kleekamp and husband Glenn of Washington; siblings, Angie Furlow and husband Jerry, Sandra O’Day, Dennis Renfert and wife Ellen, and Ron Renfert and wife Mary; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; in-laws, Rosalyn Pursley and husband Vernon and Doris Hillermann; other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2024, from 2-6 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 30, 2024, at the St. Francis Borgia Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to St. Gertrude Grade School.
