Jamie L. Lakebrink,69, of Washington, passed away on August 26, 2025. Mrs. Lakebrink, daughter of the late James Maune and Shirley nee Schriewer, was born on July 31, 1956, in Washington.
Jamie was the heart of every gathering, her laughter brightening the room and her warmth bringing people together. She loved attending her grandchildren’s marching events and cherished every moment spent with loved ones. Her passion for gardening turned her yard into a patchwork of color, and she found joy in discovering hidden treasures during her resale shop adventures.
She received her education from Washington High School in 1974. On April 28, 1978, she was united in marriage to Jerry Lakebrink at Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Lakebrink; two children, Michael and Matthew Lakebrink; three siblings, Kathy AuBuchon, John Maune, Keith Maune, and Godson, Todd Hoelscher.
Among her survivors are her daughter, Bethany White and husband Jason of New Haven; grandchildren, Grace White and fiance Ben Moses of Cape Girardeau and Liam White of New Haven; five siblings, Cindy Frick and husband Dave of Washington, Dale Maune and wife Dawn of Hermann, Larry Maune and wife Carla of Washington, Peggy Adkison of Washington, and Andy Maune and wife Cheri of Washington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike Lakebrink of St. Louis, Joan Lakebrink of Chicago, Sylvia Peterson and husband John of Washington, Betty Merchant and husband Norman of St. Louis, Susan Rasmussen of San Jose, CA, Mary Means and husband Bill of Georgia, Tim Lakebrink and wife Brenda of St. Louis, John Lakebrink and wife Nancy of St. Louis, Becky Pier and husband Paul of Washington, and Mark Lakebrink and wife Alison of Georgia; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 4-8 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Memorial Mass will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 10 a.m. at St. Gertrude’s Church in Krakow. Memorial donations can be made to the Grace and Liam White College Education Fund.
