James E. Seamon, 93, of Washington, passed away on March 1, 2023. Mr. Seamon, son of the late Arthur D. Seamon and Sarah nee Branson, was born on May 15, 1930 in Union. On September 8, 1951, he was united in marriage to Maxine Jett in Piggot, AR, in a bank vault at the county courthouse.
Mr. Seamon served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army.
James loved to eat, and his favorite restaurant was the White Rose Café in Union. He also enjoyed going to Branson to see the shows and visit family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maxine Seamon; siblings, Wilbert Seamon, Elmer Seamon, Warren Seamon, Alfred Seamon, Irene Strubberg, Dorothy Glandon and in-laws, Mary Ann Seamon, Marion Seamon, Harry Strubberg, and Ray Glandon.
Among his survivors are his children, Arthur Seamon and wife Kathy of Washington and Alesia Mincemeyer and husband Dale of Washington; brother, Robert Seamon and wife Kay of Washington; grandchildren, Eric Seamon and wife Amie of Villa Ridge and Melissa Barnhart and husband Josh of Union; great-grandchildren, Tori Barnhart, Gabe Barnhart, Anna Emanuel, Andrew Seamon, Benjamin Seamon, Timothy Seamon, little sister Seamon; other relatives, loved ones, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Funeral Service will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at the First Baptist Church in Washington. Interment will be in the Midlawn Memorial Gardens in Union. Memorial donations can be made to the First Baptist Church in Washington.
