James Lowes Obituary

James K. Lowes , 64 , of Washington, passed away on December 3, 2020.

Mr. Lowes, son of the late Edward Lowes and his wife Mary Ellen NEE Scott, was born on February 21, 1956 in St. Louis. On May 10, 1980, he was united in marriage to Denise Mengwasser in St. Louis. James was employed as a Pipefitter, and a member of Local 562 for 37 years. He was always an active member of his parish and the Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Lowes was preceded in death by his parents.

Among his survivors are his wife Denise Lowes; six children, Stephanie Boland and husband Nicholas, Rachael Dufek and husband Joe, Nikki Hudson and husband Chris, Christine Lowes and significant other, Tom Emmendorfer, Rebecca Lowes and fiancé Alec Sullentrup, and Matt Lowes; three siblings, Ken Lowes and wife Marla, Ed Lowes and wife Barb, and Gary Lowes and wife Peggy; six grandchildren, Cole, Callie, Lucy, Evelyn, Kallen, and Karter; other relatives and friends.

Jim was the ultimate family man and found pleasure in fishing, boating, volunteering and always finding a way to help others.

A private visitation will be held at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home in Washington on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, with a Mass of Christian Burial  being held Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 10:00 am at St. Francis Borgia Church, which will be open to the public. A Celebration of Life will be held on Jim's Birthday, February 21, 2021 at the Knights of Columbus in Washington, MO at 3:00 P.M.
