James E. Hickman,65, of Villa Ridge, passed away on January 22, 2026.
James, son of the late Howard Hickman and Evelyn nee Benson, was born on
September 22, 1960, in St. Louis. He received his education from
Ritenour High School and a Bachelor of Science in Administration of
Justice at UMSL.
Jim was a shining light in the hearts of all who knew him. His journey
on earth was marked by adventure, love, compassion and unwavering faith
in the Lord. He loved spending time with his family, time at his cabin,
traveling, and riding the trails of the great outdoors. His passion was
playing his guitars and enjoying live music at wineries and festivals
all over Missouri. He faithfully supported his favorite sports teams,
the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs. Spending everyday
with his faithful companions Dodger and Otis was pure joy. His beautiful
smile would light up a room and his quick wit and humor brought laughter
to all.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Anthony Centerino
Jr. and sister-in-law, Barbara Hickman.
Among his survivors are his children, Mandi McAllister and husband Ryan
of Union and Trenton Hickman and wife Carrie of Washington; significant
other, Anita Fisher of Eureka; siblings, Diana Woosley and husband David
of Pocatello, ID, Michael Hickman of Wentzville, and Toni Link and
husband Kevin of Pontoon Beach, IL; grandchildren, Madelynn, Gracelynn,
Alexios, Thea, Lexie, Niklaus, and Madison; many nieces, nephews,
extended family, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 10:30 a.m.
to 12 p.m. at the New Beginnings Lutheran Church in Pacific. A memorial
service will begin at 12 p.m. Memorial donations can be made to Stray
Rescue-High Tails Sanctuary.
