In Loving Memory of Jacqueline Marie Windler
September 16, 1924 – May 7, 2021
Jacqueline was a native of St. Louis, Missouri. She and her family deeply loved their hometown and also enjoyed spending time at the Windler family property in the lovely countryside around St. Clair.
After retiring from a long professional career as the Librarian at the Catholic Hospital Association in St. Louis, Jacqueline moved to St. Clair fulltime with her close friend Lynn Auten. They traveled extensively, with particular fondness for Arizona, South Padre Island on the Texas Gulf Coast, and California where her older sister Janet’s family lives.
Jacqueline was a beloved aunt who shared with her nephews and nieces her lifelong interest in the arts, reading, gardening, the outdoors, and the St. Louis Cardinals ! She was devoted to her St. Clare parish community and its needs. In all of this she was lovingly aided by her dear nephew, Pancho. Jacqueline’s gentleness, consideration for others, and affability are cherished memories for her family and friends.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Frances Windler, her brother Frank Windler Jr, her sister Janet W. Young and her friend Lynn Auten.
Jacqueline is survived by her nephews Frank “Pancho” Windler, John Young (Donja), Paul Young (Lynn) and her nieces Frances Young-Osegueda (Carlos), Ann Young-Visser (Chris), Liz Young, and Joan Y. Zeller (Scott).
