Helen M. McMurray

Helen M. McMurray, 79, of Washington, MO, passed away on December 31, 2022. Mrs. McMurray, daughter of the late John Crisp and S. Vina Carder, was born on March 18, 1943 in Manes, MO. She received her education from Mountain Grove High School. On January 13, 1964, she was united in marriage to Raymond McMurray in Miami, Oklahoma.  They enjoyed 57 years of married life on earth and are joyfully reunited.

Helen was employed at Hallmark Cards for 28 years.  After which, she enjoyed 30 years of retirement with her husband.  They spent many winters in South Padre Island, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two siblings, Bobby Crisp and Dixie Austin.

Among her survivors are two children, Susan McMurray of Kansas City, KS and Missy Lochirco and husband John of Washington, MO; grandchildren, John Stevenson and wife Chasity, Lauren Lochirco and fiancé Joey Schlote, and Emily Lochirco and fiancé Kale Meinershagen; great-grandchildren, Makayla, Paul, Isabella, Mary, Abigail, and Leland; in-laws, Jean Crisp of Harlingen, TX and Bill Austin of Mountain Grove, MO; other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 12 p.m. at the Brooks cemetery in Corning, Iowa. Memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association or St. Francis Borgia High School Cheerleading Program.
