Harvey P.H. Twelker

Harvey P.H. Twelker , 95 , of Washington, passed away on February 19, 2021. Harvey, son of the late Martin Twelker and his wife Amanda NEE Lohmeyer, was born June 3, 1925 in Washington. He received his education from Washington High School. On February 25, 1950, he was united in marriage to Gladys Katzung at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington. Harvey was employed at the Corps of Engineers for over 40 years. Mr. Twelker served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Connor Owens and sister-in-law, Virginia Bartel.

Among his survivors are his wife, Gladys Twelker of Washington; three children, Jane Kohler of Washington, Patricia Gildehaus of Washington, and James Twelker of Washington; seven grandchildren, Karen Love of Washington, Cynthia Vancil of Washington, Scott Owens and wife Lisa, Chad Owens and wife Jacqueline, Heather Sloan and husband Travis, and Nicole Twelker; great-grandchildren, Jaryn Hazel and husband Kevin, Samantha Caton, Blaine Vancil, Miranda and Zara Kreun, Logan, Brooke, and Parker Owens, Abby, Hayden, and Kinsley Sloan, Elaynea Hiatte, Arieanna Blackburn, and Milee Twelker; In-laws, Joe Katzung and wife Gert, Kenny Katzung and wife Pauline, and Ethel Frye; other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 1-2:30 P.M. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, with a funeral service beginning at 2:30 P.M. Interment with full military honors will be held at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
