Harvey Quinn Jr. Obituary

Harvey F. Quinn Jr.,88, of New Haven, passed away on November 27, 2025. Mr. Quinn, son of the late Harvey Quinn Sr. and Nevada nee Jones, was born on September 26, 1937, in Augusta, GA. He received his education from North Augusta High School and had a master’s degree in health care administration. On March 17, 1977, he was united in marriage to Nancy Mathews at the St. John’s Methodist Church in Augusta, GA. Mr. Quinn served his country honorably as a member of the United States Navy.

Harvey deeply cherished his country and demonstrated strong patriotism throughout his life. He took great pleasure in watching M.A.S.H. on television, spent many enjoyable hours building model trains, and had a special affection for animals, especially dogs.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge 1559, VFW 2661, American Legion 218, Washington Historical Society, and the Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Port Hudson.

Mr. Quinn was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Jane Wilson Lunsford and a brother in infancy.

Among his survivors are his wife, Nancy Quinn of New Haven; three children, Rev. David Bohling and wife LaDonna of Hephzibah, GA, Melissa Bohling of Columbia, MO, and Tim Bohling and wife Wania of Boynton Beach, FL; grandchildren, Beau Bohling and wife Jessica and Rhett Bohling and wife Zenobia; great-grandchildren, Reagan, Max, Avery, Rocky, Eli, Jace, and Zoe; nephew, Robert Wilson; great-niece, Katrina Wilson; loved ones and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 9-11 a.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, with a memorial service beginning at 11 a.m. Interment with full military honors will be at the Presbyterian Cemetery in Washington. Memorial donations can be made to the Franklin County Humane Society or charity of choice.
