Gilbert Siedhoff Obituary

Gilbert L. Siedhoff , 88, of Clover Bottom, passed away on  January 8, 2021. Gilbert was born on May 6, 1932 in Washington. He received his education from St. Francis Borgia High School. Gilbert served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army. On November 20, 1954, he was united in marriage to Eunice Brinkmann at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church.  Gilbert was employed for many years at Modern Auto and recently employed at the Husky Corporation in Pacific.

 

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Clover Bottom at 11 am. Interment with full military honors will follow in the Church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2021 from 3 until 7 pm at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home.  Memorial donations are appreciated to Franklin County Honor Flight.

 

Gilbert is survived by seven children, Barb Broeker and husband Mike of Washington, Marian Maune of New Haven, Dan Siedhoff and fiancée Linda Reed of New Haven, Joyce Vogt and husband Mike of Washington, Don Siedhoff of New Haven, Alan Siedhoff and wife Sheryl of New Haven, and Teresa Overschmidt and husband Rick of Washington; son-in-law, Leon Frick of Washington; eighteen grandchildren, Monica Nadler and husband Colby, Jason Frick and wife Mandy, Brian Frick, Joshua Broeker and wife Tammy, Jackie Wesselschmidt and husband Jacob, Joey Broeker and fiance Katie Irwin, Jordan and Jamie Broeker, Regina Close and husband David, Paula Riegel and husband Jeff, Pam Ditch and husband Brian, Melissa Reed, Melissa Buel and husband Tony, Justin Vogt and wife Keshan, Jessica and Austin Siedhoff, Nicole Mueller and husband Tommy, and Danielle Overschmidt; twenty three great-grandchildren; siblings, Virgil Siedhoff and wife Elsie, Arlene Kuchem and husband Vic, and Maurice Siedhoff; ; In Laws, Marylee Kimminau and husband Herb, Floyd Brinkmann and wife LeaMae, and Darlene Brinkmann;  other relatives and many friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Eunice Siedhoff; one daughter, Kathy Frick; siblings, Harry Siedhoff Jr. and wife June, Edith Heimann and husband Norbert, Ruth Straatmann and husband Herb, Betty Ann Laune and husband Connie, and Ethel Patke and husband Al; In laws, Jerry Brinkmann and Bernadine Garbs and husband Theon.
