George Sullentrup Obituary

George O. Sullentrup, 76 , of Washington, passed away on June 2, 2021. Mr. Sullentrup , son of the late Melvin Sullentrup and his wife Sophia nee Ballmann, was born on June 3, 1944 in Washington, MO. He received his education from St. Francis Borgia and graduated from Washington High School. On June 15, 1968 he was united in marriage to Virginia Bauer at St. Francis Borgia Church. George was employed at Wal-Mart in Washington for 12 plus years and worked his entire life on the family farm.

He was preceded in death by his parents; child, Pamela K. Sullentrup.

Among his survivors are his wife, Virginia Sullentrup of Washington;  two children, Lynn Marie Carson and husband Michael of St. Clair, and Paul H. Sullentrup of Alton, IL.; Brother, Charles L. Sullentrup and wife Phyllis of Washington, and a sister Betty K. Gordon of Hebron, KY; one grandchild, Jacob P. Carson of St. Clair; nephews, Christian and Todd Gordon; other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday June 7, 2021 from 4-7 P.M. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home in Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday June 8, 2021 at 10 A.M. at St. Francis Borgia Church. Interment will be in the St. Francis Borgia Cemetery.

Memorial Donations can be made to the Franklin County Humane Society.
