Frances E. Loepker, 91 , of Washington, passed away on December 14, 2022 at home with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Loepker, daughter of the late August Patke and Philomena nee Brinkmann, was born on March 17, 1931 in Washington. She received her education from St. John’s Gildehaus School and from St. Anthony’s in St. Louis, where she became an LPN. On April 26, 1952, she was united in marriage to Ervin Loepker Sr. at St. John’s Gildehaus Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ervin Loepker Sr. and four siblings, Joe Patke, Al Patke, Clarence Patke, and Lucille Piontek.
Among her survivors are four children, Kathleen Pate of Winfield, Mary Lou Kuenzel and husband Michael of Washington, Michael Loepker and significant other Connie Peterson of Washington, and Ervin Loepker Jr. and wife Diane of New Haven; siblings, Bernice Eckelkamp of Washington and Irene Voss and husband Joe of Krakow; eight grandchildren, Jamie Poirot and husband Mike, Brent Kuenzel, Jill Kuenzel, Nathan Loepker and wife Samantha, Katrina Hrastich and husband Andrew, Kelly Theiss and husband Benjamin, Brian Loepker and wife Suzanne, and Jason Loepker; great-grandchildren, Rilee Poirot, Caysi Poirot, Kylie Kuenzel, Carter Kuenzel, Brenna Gildehaus, Bradley Kuenzel, Jenna Loepker, Cierra Loepker, Dylan Loepker, Madalyn Hrastich, Amelia Hrastich, Stella Hrastich, Natalie Theiss, Brayden Theiss, Colton Theiss, Caroline Loepker, Sophia Loepker, and Ervin Loepker; other relatives and many friends.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 3-6 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Gildehaus Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Parish rosary 5 p.m. Sunday.
