Evelyn A. Kamler, 96 , of Washington, passed away on July 8, 2022. Mrs. Kamler, daughter of the late John Schmitt and Josephine nee Lentz, was born on March 23, 1926 in Washington. She received her education from St. Francis Borgia Grade School. On July 13, 1946, she was united in marriage to Maurice Kamler at St. Francis Borgia Church.
Mrs. Kamler was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and St. Ann’s Parish in Clover Bottom.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maurice Kamler; daughter-in-law, Bev Kamler and siblings, Armin Schmitt, Walter Schmitt, Jim Schmitt, Jack Schmitt, Ruth Blackwell, Bernice Stallmann, Joan Patke, Shirley Marquart, and Marilyn Beanblossom.
Among her survivors are three children, Marsha Kamler of Washington, John Kamler of Washington, and Toni Dobsch and husband Dave of Washington; sister, Theola Kandlbinder of Washington; three grandchildren, John D. Kamler, Gretchen Kelley and husband Brett, and Adam Dobsch and wife Lindsay; great-grandchildren, Jack, Clay, and Quinn Kelley and McKinley and Rowan Dobsch; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church in Clover Bottom. Immediately following mass, there will be a luncheon at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Washington. Memorial donations can be made to the St. Ann’s Church.
