Eugene O. Wiedemann, 92, of Washington, passed away on January 28, 2024. Mr. Wiedemann, son of the late Otto Wiedemann and Margaret nee Pott, was born on April 14, 1931 in St. Louis. He received his education from St. Francis De Sales High School. On January 17, 1953, he was united in marriage to Shirley Koles at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in St. Louis.
Gene served his country honorably as a member of the United States Navy. He was the owner of Wedding Creations and All Pro Janitorial Supply in Washington. Gene enjoyed being with family, traveling, fishing, and loved to BBQ. He was a devout catholic, committed to his faith.
Mr. Wiedemann was preceded in death by his parents; son, Tom Wiedemann; a brother in infancy and great-grandson, Keegan Wiedemann.
Among his survivors are his wife, Shirley Wiedemann of Washington; four children, Jim Wiedemann and wife Sharon of Clover Bottom, Margaret Kohne of Washington, Christine Dieckhaus and husband David of Washington, and Kathy Miller and husband Bill of Washington; grandchildren, Nick Wiedemann and wife Jill of Columbia, MO, Tim Wiedemann and wife Leanne of Berger, Jill Thurman and husband Jeff of Villa Ridge, Shawn Kohne of Los Angeles, CA, Scott Dieckhaus of Washington, Jason Dieckhaus and wife Molly of St. Louis, Kristin Straatmann and husband Steven of Villa Ridge, Lucas Dieckhaus and wife Rachell of Washington, and Caroline Miller of Washington; fifteen great-grandchildren; special friend, Anel Barazza; other relatives and friends.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Borgia Church. Memorial donations can be made to the St. Francis Borgia Grade School or Masses.
