Eugene "Butch" Mills

Eugene “Butch” Mills III, 63 , of Washington, passed away on October 16, 2021. Butch, son of the late Eugene Mills and Audrey nee Huether, was born on May 23, 1958 in Washington. He received his education from Washington High School. On September 11, 1982, he was united in marriage to Kim Holdmeyer at the St. Joseph Neier Church. Butch worked as a carpenter for many years until retirement.

He was preceded in death by his father; mother and father-in-law, Dolores and Ralph Holdmeyer; granddaughter, Hope Karll, and brother-in-law, Dennis O’Toole.

Among his survivors are his wife, Kim Mills of Washington; mother, Audrey L. Mills; children, Benjamin Komo and wife Gina of Dixon, MO, Erin Karll and husband Nathaniel of Marthasville, Eugene “Andy” Mills of Washington, and Emily Mills of Washington; siblings, Peggy Cheek and husband Mike of St. Louis, Karen Mills of Washington, Tom Mills of Washington, Gary Mills of Washington, and Jimmy Mills of Washington; grandchildren, Nolan Williams, Sophia Komo, Grace Karll, Olivia Karll, Kaylee Karll, Isabelle Karll, Isaac Karll, Tayler Mills, Evin Mills, Huntley Klenke, and Hayden Klenke; other relatives, friends, and his special river buddies.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 4-8 P.M. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 10 A.M. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Interment will be in the St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the St Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
