Ervin D. Ebker

Ervin D. Ebker, 77, of Washington, passed away on March 19, 2023. Mr. Ebker, son of the late Ervin L. Ebker and Corine nee Kemper, was born on March 23, 1945, in Washington. He received his education from Washington High School. On November 13, 1976, he was united in marriage to Barbara Dowil at St. Peter’s U.C.C. in Washington. Ervin was employed at East Central College in the maintenance dept. for 22 years.

Mr. Ebker loved model cars and trains, watching Westerns, and listening to classic country music. He also enjoyed visiting with friends, having morning coffee at Hardees, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Barbara A. Ebker.

Among his survivors are two daughters, Nancy Pope and husband Josh of O’Fallon, MO and Laurie Ebker of Hannibal, MO; siblings, Carolyn Mills of Wentzville, Ray Ebker and wife Barbie of Pacific, and Janet Strickland and husband Paul of West Virginia; grandchildren, Caleb, Emma, Hannah, and Isaac Pope; other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2023, at St. Peter’s U.C.C. in Washington. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to St. Peter’s U.C.C. or Camp MoVal.
