Elnora Wehmeier Obituary

Elnora Emily Wehmeier, 94, of Washington, passed away on January 28, 2021. Elnora, daughter of the late Hugo Bierbaum and his wife LuLu nee Borgmann, was born on November 19, 1926 in Marthasville. She graduated from Marthasville High School in 1945 and worked for several years at Southwestern Bell as a phone operator. She married Winston Logan on October 29, 1949 at St. Paul's church in Marthasville. One daughter, Diane, was born to this marriage. After Winston's death in December 1953, she married Clarence Wehmeier on May 2, 1959 at St. Paul's Church in Marthasville. She and Clarence had two sons, Dean and Dale. Elnora worked as bookkeeper and office manager for International Harvester dealerships from 1954 to 1982. She was a wonderful cook who also loved needlepoint, reading and crossword puzzles.

 

Elnora was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Winston Logan; second husband, Clarence Wehmeier and brother, Marvin Bierbaum. Among her survivors is daughter, Diane Logan Garritson (husband Paul) of Davis CA; sons, Dean Wehmeier (wife Vikki) of Auxvasse and Dale Wehmeier (wife Julie) of Warrenton; two stepchildren, Gregg Wehmeier (wife Rita) of Union and Karen Bishop of Union; sister-in-law, Laverne Bierbaum;  grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 

A private graveside service will be held at St. Paul's Cemetery in Marthasville. Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
