Elaine M. (Kandlbinder) Voss

Elaine M. Voss (nee Kandlbinder), age 72, of Washington, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Grandview Care Center. Elaine was born on June 17, 1946, to the late Herbert and Lorraine (nee Vondera) in Washington and was united in marriage to the late Francis “Red” Voss on February 8, 1969, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She was a long-time parishioner at St. Ann Church-Clover Bottom and member of the American Legion Post 218 Auxiliary.  Elaine was kind and generous to others, dedicated to her Church, and was always a faithful holy servant of the Lord. She lovingly created hand-made and embroidered gifts, enjoyed life and laughter with her family and friends, and never turned down an offer of company to play Bingo.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at 10 am at St. Ann Church-Clover Bottom. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 23, from 4 until 8 pm at Miller Funeral Home. Memorial donations are appreciated to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or St. Ann Church.

Elaine is survived by six children, Christine Sutton and husband Doug of Marthasville, John W. Voss of Washington, Lorraine Buehrlen and husband Marty of Marthasville, Carl Voss and wife Lisa of Fenton, Michael Voss of Washington, Paul Voss and fiancée Alicia Littrell of Washington; four siblings, Don Kandlbinder and wife Suzanne of Leslie, Leo Kandlbinder and special friend Dottie Pruessner of Union, Joe Kandlbinder and wife Claudia of San Antonio, Texas, and Rich Kandlbinder and wife Judy of Washington; two siblings-in-law, Sylvia Unerstall and husband Al of Washington and Maurice Voss and wife Laverne of Washington; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Kandlbinder of Washington; one aunt, Juanita Lauchstaedt of Washington; close friends, Ab and Jeanette Abernathie of Wentzville; seven grandchildren, Chloe Sutton, Samantha Brueggemann, Cassidy Brueggemann, Emma Buehrlen, Zander Voss, A.J. Buehrlen, and Jaxon Voss; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Lorraine Kandlbinder; husband, Francis “Red” Voss; and three siblings, Jim Kandlbinder, Alice DeBrock, and Bob Kandlbinder.
