Edna M. Hinnah, 89 ,of Washington, passed away on January 2, 2021. Edna, daughter of the late Anthony Marquart and his wife Anna NEE Miesner, was born January 18, 1931 in Krakow. She received her education from St. Gertrude’s School. On October 9, 1952, she was united in marriage to Marvin Hinnah at St. Gertrude’s Church. Edna was employed at Cedarcrest Manor until her retirement. She was a member of St. Gertrude’s Church.
Mrs. Hinnah was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin Hinnah; two daughters, Pamela and Tina Hinnah; siblings, Henrietta Ley and husband Lawrence, Rita Marquart, Bernadine Diener and husband Leonard, Leander Marquart and wife Shirley, and Lucille Marquart; one great-grandchild, Madden Hinnah, and two brother-in-laws, Joseph Peters and Victor Sullentrup.
Among her survivors are eight children, Donald Hinnah and wife Cheryl of Washington, Barbara Haywood and husband Timothy of St. Louis, Carol Stolte and husband Paul of Washington, Dennis Hinnah and wife Robin of Union, Jeff Hinnah of New Haven, John Hinnah and significant other Charlotte Dunn of Union, Lynn Riegel and husband Tony of Washington, and Mark Hinnah and wife Jennifer of Wentzville; two sisters, Florentine Peters of Washington and Dorothy Sullentrup of New Haven; 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, other relatives, and many friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 4-7 P.M. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11 A.M. at St. Gertrude’s Church, with interment in the Church Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the St. Gertrude’s Church or School.
