Duane E. Beste

Duane E. Beste, 65 , of Washington, passed away on April 14, 2022. Duane, son of the late Rudolph Beste and Meredith nee Boland, was born on February 27, 1957 in Washington. He received his education from St. Francis Borgia High School. On November 5, 1988, he was united in marriage to Karen Kamper at the Immanuel Lutheran Church.  Duane was employed at Tradco for many years before retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents; In-laws, Charles and Vera Kamper and nephew, Nathan Spaunhorst.

Among his survivors are his wife, Karen Kamper Beste of Krakow; sister, Joleen Spaunhorst and husband Michael of Krakow; brother-in-law, Robert Kamper and wife Brenda of Krakow; nieces and nephews,  Matthew Spaunhorst and wife Elizabeth, Laurie Buhr and husband Derek, David Spaunhorst, Ashley Kamper and fiance Jay Ribbings, Lindsey Kamper,  great nieces and nephews, Dawson, Eli, and Josephine Spaunhorst, Jada and Meghan O’Donnell, Henry and Charlotte Buhr, James, Jace, Jaydyn, and Jaxtyn Ribbing, and Elizabeth and Leah Kamper.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Memorial service will be on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 10:45 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington. Memorial donations can be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or charity of choice.
