Dorothy J. Voyles

Dorothy J. Voyles,97, of Washington, passed away on March 5, 2026. Dorothy, daughter of the late Frank Downey and Helen nee Burke, was born on March 11, 1928, in St. Louis. She received her education from Jackson High School in St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dominic Curcuru; son, Ronald Silverly and eight siblings.

Among her survivors are her daughter, Barbara Barrett and husband Gary of Washington; three grandchildren, Michele Eckelkamp and husband Edward of Washington, Paul Barrett of Washington, and Matthew Barrett and wife Stacey of Washington; six great-grandchildren, Samantha Eckelkamp, Hannah Eckelkamp, Jacob Barrett, Karissa Barrett, Lydia Barrett, and Sabrina Barrett; loved ones and many friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 4-7 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Interment will be in the St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
