Donna S. Elbert

Donna S. Elbert, 75 , of Washington, passed away on November 23, 2022. Mrs. Elbert, daughter of the late Lester Horn and Juanita nee Lovelace, was born on October 12, 1947 in Washington. She received her education from Washington High School.

Donna enjoyed doing hair and interacting with her clients for over 40 years. She also loved cooking and watching all of the cooking shows on tv.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Larry Downing; second husband Dale Elbert; brother, Richard Horn and nephew, Kevin Winters.

Among her survivors are two sons, Curtis Downing and wife Cindy of Beaufort and Clint Beamon of Washington; two step-daughters, Christa Horn and husband Scott of Washington and Katie Meador and husband Joe of Washington; siblings, Barb Winters and husband Lowell of Labadie, Terry Horn and wife Sharon of Washington, Karen Nevills of Union, and Ruth Valdez of Labadie; grandchildren, Amanda, Morgan, Cierra, Landon, and Liam; great-grandchildren, Owen, Elias, and Ivan; other relatives and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Memorial donations can be made to the Franklin County Humane Society.
