Donald Remillard Obituary

Donald H. Remillard, 89, of Washington, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2022. Mr. Remillard, the third son of the late Louis G. Remillard and Alma Simone nee Lamontagne, was born on March 26, 1933 in Raymond, New Hampshire. On May 18, 1957, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Brinker at St. Francis Borgia Church. Don served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army.

He moved to Missouri after discharge from the Army in 1955.  His first employment was with Purcell Ellis Tire and Service Center working on vehicles and farm equipment.  He was then employed as a maintenance foreman for Zero Manufacturing now Clemco Industries Corporation for over 40 years.  He enjoyed woodworking, building bird houses, summer garden, the outdoors and bowling.  He was a “Mr. Fix It” and handyman whom built his own motorcycle.  He and his wife volunteered at Lourdes cafeteria while his grandchildren attended the school.  He had a strong faith and was a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes parish for over 60 years. He was a very generous and humble man. But above all, family was most important to Don. Time spent together with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was most treasured. He dearly loved his cat Sandi.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marilyn Remillard; daughter, Lindann Cobb; siblings, George Remillard, Harold Remillard, Janet Krimmel, Jacqueline Tobben Emanuel, William Remillard and granddaughter, Jamie Bax.
