Donald A. Hinnah, 69, of Washington, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023. Mr. Hinnah, son of the late Marvin Hinnah and Edna, nee Marquart, was born on August 30, 1954, in Washington. He received his education from Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Grade School and Washington High School. On August 30, 1975, he was united in marriage to Cheryl Krimmel at St. Gertrude’s Church in Krakow.
He retired in 2014 from GS&S Construction. His interests included hunting, fishing, and dartball, but what meant most to him was spending time with his family. He could often be found cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting and school events. He will be dearly missed and remembered with love by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Pamela and Tina Hinnah; father-in-law, Norbert Krimmel and step-father-in-law, DeWayne Kloeppel.
Among his survivors are his wife Cheryl Hinnah of Washington; three children, Jodi Chambers and husband Kurt of Marthasville, Marvin Hinnah and wife Amy of Beaufort, and Scott Hinnah and wife Kristal of Pacific; siblings, Barb Haywood of St. Louis, Carol Stolte and husband Paul of Washington, Dennis Hinnah and wife Robin of St. Clair, Jeff Hinnah of Washington, John Hinnah of Washington, Lynn Riegel and husband Tony of Washington, and Mark Hinnah and wife Jennifer of Marthasville; ten grandchildren, Kaylee, Emily, Liz, Felicity, Sam, Madison, Jenna, Miles, Dawson, and Evelyn; two great-grandchildren, Jaxson and Laytyn; mother-in law, Dorothy Kloeppel of Washington; in-laws, Debbie Austin of Washington, Marcia Lueckenhoff and husband Joe of New Haven, and Bev Connor and husband Jeff of Washington; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, from 4-8 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at the St. Gertrude’s Church in Krakow. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to St. Gertrude’s School, Crosspoint Christian Academy, or St. Francis Borgia High School.
