Dolores C. Chapie, 92, of Washington, passed away on March 5, 2024. Mrs. Chapie, daughter of the late Joseph Wiesner and Marie nee Lindewirth, was born on January 4, 1932, in Baden, MO. She received her education from St. Alphonsus Rock Church High School. On August 1, 1953, she was united in marriage to Robert Chapie at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Baden.
Dolores worked for Schnucks Markets for 35 years. In 1989, she and Robert moved to Washington to make their home and enjoy life in the country. She loved her gardens and being outdoors.
Mrs. Chapie was also very active in the St. John’s Gildehaus Parish. She often decorated the church and made sure all of the altar garments were clean and pressed. Dolores attended Perpetual Adoration every Tuesday.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Chapie, and six siblings, Laverne Fioretti, Marion Duffy, Joseph Wiesner, Loretta Marquart, Leonard Wiesner, and Joni Budde.
Among her survivors are five daughters, Cheryl Rudolph of St. Louis, Mary Jo Ringkamp and husband Kenneth of Pacific, Cindy Taylor and husband Rick of Troy, MO, Christine Meyer and husband Bradley of Wildwood, and Cecilia Brooks and husband Scott of St. Louis; eleven grandchildren, Kelly Knox and husband Sekou, Kevin Rudolph and wife Melody, Christopher Ringkamp and wife Sarah Denise, Sarah Hanneken and husband Joseph, Jessica Stock and husband Christopher, Philip Creasser-Taylor and wife Amber, Aaron Taylor, Nicole Meyer, LeAnn Meyer, Zachary Meyer, and Andrew Brooks; thirteen great-grandchildren, Nurice, Nathaniel, Damian, Joel, Avery, Mabry, Clayton, Logan, Lillian, Christopher Paul Jr., Cameran, Isla, and Keira; other relatives and friends.
A memorial mass will be held on April 3, 2024, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Gildehaus Church in Villa Ridge. Luncheon immediately following mass. Memorial donations can be made to the St. John the Baptist School.
