Diane M. Koirtyohann

Diane M. Koirtyohann, 72 , of Washington, passed away on April 14, 2022. Mrs. Koirtyohann, daughter of the late Hubert Kleekamp and Laurice nee Lanwermeyer, was born on April 10, 1950 in Washington. She received her education from St. Francis Borgia High School. On June 17, 1972, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Koirtyohann at St. Francis Borgia Church.

Diane was the biggest fan at all of her grandchildren’s sporting events, but she especially loved baseball. She could always be found watching with her bag of snacks, including popcorn and Diet Cherry Pepsi (which she would have to share with all of her grandkids). She had a heart of gold and would donate to any cause. She was very active in practicing her faith at weekly Mass, Church groups, Bible studies, as well as volunteering anywhere her parish needed. She embodied her faith and truly lived her life according to the Lord’s Commandment: “Love one another, as I have loved you.”

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jeffrey Kleekamp.

Among her survivors are her husband, Kenneth Koirtyohann of Washington; three children, Jason Koirtyohann and wife Erin of Marthasville, Michael Koirtyohann and wife Amber of Marthasville, and Joseph Koirtyohann and wife Julie of Washington; siblings, Dale Kleekamp and wife Joann, Joann Kleekamp, Dennis Kleekamp and wife Angie, Donna Wessel and husband Mike, Timothy Kleekamp and wife Sheila, and Lisa Buhr and husband Duane; ten grandchildren, Josh, Andrew, Blake, Elliana, Kohen, Tegan, Klyde, Owen, Troy, and Beckett; brother-in-law, Robert Koirtyohann and wife Jackie; other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 18, 2022 from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Borgia Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the St. Francis Borgia Church or Pancreatic Cancer Research.
