Delores Bates Obituary

Delores A. Bates, 62, of Washington, passed away at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis on Friday, June 5, 2020. Delores was born on April 4, 1958, to the late Walter and Barbara (nee Perkins) Bates in Washington. Delores was a talented baker and loved to share her talents and help others. She worked at Magnet for over sixteen years before retiring earlier this year due to health concerns and until recently helped cater events with a friend on the weekends.

A private committal service will be held at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Washington.

She is survived by one brother, Bruce Bates (Molly McBride) of Ballwin; nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Mark and Herbert Bates.
