Dayle Baker Obituary

Dayle E. Baker, 87, of Washington, passed away on March 5, 2023. Dayle, son of the late Wilber Baker and Lillian nee Engel, was born on February 4, 1936 in St. Clair. He received his education from St. Clair High School, graduating in 1954. On March 29, 1957, he was united in marriage to Hilma Boyster. Dayle served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army.

Mr. Baker enjoyed spending time with his family, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and St. Louis Blues hockey. After retirement, he loved traveling with Hilma and family and friends. He also volunteered his time at the Crossing Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Hilma Baker; sister, Dorriss Johnston and two brothers, Kenneth and Lloyde Baker.

Among his survivors are his daughter, Cindy Fall and husband Steve; son, Michael Baker and wife Becky; brother, Harold Baker and wife Linda; sister, Elaine Hunter and husband Jery; grandchildren, Ryan Fall and wife Shaina, Adam Fall, Amanda Baker, Elizabeth Baker; great-grandchildren, Elijah Fall, Ezra Fall, and Abraham Fall; other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 9-10 a.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 10 a.m. Interment, with full military honors will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to Living Water International.
