David L. Noelker Sr.

David L. Noelker Sr., 88, of Washington, passed away on August 7, 2022. Mr. Noelker, son of the late Vincent Noelker and Maude nee Glaser, was born on April 12, 1934 in Washington. He received his education from St. Francis Borgia High School. On August 20, 1955, he was united in marriage to Leona Hilke at the St. Francis Borgia Church.

Mr. Noelker served his country honorably as a member of the United States Navy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Anna Stosich; sister-in-law, Viola Pohl and husband Harold and brother-in-law, Robert Hilke.

Among his survivors are his wife, Leona Noelker of Washington; four children, Barbara Steffens and husband Ronald of Union, David Noelker Jr. of Washington, Donna Feltmann and husband James Jr. of Washington, and Gary Noelker of Hazel, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Todd Steffens and wife Lindsay, Brent Steffens, Jamie Kluesner and significant other Brandon Henry, Amber Noelker, and Curtis Noelker; two great-grandchildren, Makayla Noelker and Landon Noelker; brother and sister-in-law, Edward Hilke Jr. and wife Bernice; other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 1-2 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, with a funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will be at the St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital or the Disabled Veterans of America.
