David A. Hillermann, 66, of Washington, passed away on April 23, 2024. Mr. Hillermann, son of the late Maurice Hillermann and Doris nee Frankenberg, was born on March 28, 1958, in Washington. He received his education from St. Francis Borgia High School. On October 29, 1977, he was united in marriage to Laurie Harshaw at St. Francis Borgia Church.
Dave loved being outdoors, especially on or near the water. He enjoyed history and old historic buildings. Dave was often piddling around in his shed or at flea markets, orange shirt, jeans, boots, a hat and a Pepsi in hand. Dave's favorite passtimes were collecting antique toys, cruising online auctions and Ebay. He spent hours on his tractor he called “Big Ronda”. He loved giving grandkids rides around the field. Most of all, he cherished his family and being called “Papa”. David's favorite holiday was Christmas. He believed in keeping the magic and spirit of Christmas alive for his family. Dave was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger. He was always willing to help when called upon, the first one to show up and the last one to leave.
