Daniel J. Winzen, 59, of Washington, Missouri, peacefully passed away on August 4, 2023 in Washington. Daniel, son of the late Edward A. Winzen and Susanne nee Becker, was born on July 9, 1964, in St. Louis.
To all who knew Dan, he was a positive and inspirational person, who amazed everyone with his ability to deal with all of the challenges he faced. While his life was permanently changed from the accident in 1989, he still remained positive and upbeat and was loved by all until his poor body finally gave in. Dan, an avid Blues and Cardinals fan, would do anything for anyone who needed assistance. He was a selfless person who would give you the shirt off his back. He was sharp as a tack, loved his family and had a great sense of humor. He will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward A. Winzen and by a brother, Theodore R. Winzen.
Among his survivors are his mother, Susanne Winzen of Washington; siblings, Diane May of Ballwin, Stephen Winzen and wife Sheri of Chesterfield, Randall Winzen and wife Cynthia of Ballwin, and Richard Winzen and significant other Lori Paine of Ballwin; aunts, uncles, other relatives, and many friends.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2023, from 1-3 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, and then continuing from 5-8 p.m. at Kutis Funeral Home in Affton. Interment will be in the Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis.
