Constance L. Steinhaus, 78 , of Washington, passed away on July 7, 2023. Connie, daughter of the late Herbert Toben and Mary Jane nee Abbott, was born on January 7, 1945 in Washington. She received her education from St. Francis Borgia High School and Owensville High School. On April 25, 1964, she was united in marriage to James Steinhaus at the Immaculate Conception Church in Owensville.
Connie loved to travel, especially going on trips with friends and whitewater rafting. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, taking part in family traditions during the holidays, and her nightly Manhattan drink.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Steinhaus.
Among her survivors are her sons, Jim Steinhaus and wife Heather of Affton and Tim Steinhaus of Valley Park; sister, Pam Ridenhour and husband Danny of Owensville; grandchildren, Matthew Steinhaus, Megan Steinhaus, Ashly Steinhaus, and Andrew Steinhaus; great-grandchildren, Jonni, Jack, and Theo Pipitone; other relatives and the special friends who have helped her through the last few years.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Borgia Church. Memorial donations can be made to the St. Francis Borgia High School or the St. Francis Borgia High School Athletic Association.
