Clyde C. Carey, 89, of Washington, passed away on November 8, 2020. Mr. Carey, son of the late William Carey and his wife Dora NEE Moore, was born September 30, 1931 in Linn. He received his education from Linn High School. Clyde served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Eweldina Carey in Morrison, MO. Clyde retired from UE as a Lineman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dena Carey; two daughters-in-law, Annette and Robin Carey, and siblings, Augustus, Chester, Ervin, Nelson, Delpha, and MaryBelle.
Among his survivors are seven children, Dale Carey and wife Wanda of Washington, Wayne Carey of Washington, Glenn Carey of Union, Gale Bonnarens and husband Dale of Krakow, Roy Carey and wife Jane of New Haven, Barry Carey and wife Dawn of Washington, and Peggy Lippert and husband Joe of Union; twelve grandchildren, Anna, Heather, Rachel, Matthew, Haeli, Cameron, Brooke, Alana, Catherine, Brandon, Jacob, Nathan ; great-grandchildren, Mason, Nevaeh, Aleah, Sutton, Ellie, and Ameera; other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 4-7 P.M. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 10 A.M. at St. Francis Borgia Church. Interment with full military honors will be held at the St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Franklin County Honor Flight.
