Obituary

Christopher M. Morgan, 51, of Washington, passed away on August 30, 2023. Chris, son of Lindell Morgan and Peggy nee Holderbaugh, was born on April 3, 1972 in Danville, IL. He received his education from Lafayette High School in Wildwood. He was in the marching band, jazz band and a member of the JROTC Air Force. He also attended ITT Technical Institute.

Chris enjoyed soccer (Manchester United), gardening, creating metal sculptures, playing games on his computer and phone, but most of all he loved car racing, even helping Ed Dixon win many races. Chris was an amazing musician. He could play most instruments including the drums, saxophone, and keyboard. He made music with his friend Nate Moss as Sad Planet. He could fix anything electronic and enjoyed making, fixing or inventing anything his friends needed. 

Chris had many jobs over the years. He was a manager at Imo's Wildwood; Sound engineer at Bastille's night club in Ballwin; Bartender at many locations including O'Reaps, Satory's and Doc House in Washington; Worked at Case and Bucks in Union and ran there Karaoke nights; Office manager at Dixon Motor's in Washington; He built and rebuilt many cars for Ed Dixon to race; Handyman, inventor, craftsman, plumber, carpenter, welder, IT expert, basically he could do it all.

Among his survivors are his parents, Lindell and Peggy Morgan of Washington; sister, Cathy Morgan of Washington; Uncles, John Golden of Tilton, IL; Kenny and Rhonda Morgan of Russellville, AR; Don and Kathy Holderbaugh of Arlington,TX; Aunt Linda Mayhew of Dover, AR; Foreign exchange student sisters, Anke of Gaggenau, Germany; Fernanda of Manaus, Brazil; Kathryn of Stockport, England; many many cousins and friends. Chris was preceded in death by his dog Max, who adored him, and his best friend Ed Dixon.

No Funeral services at this time for Christopher Morgan. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the Franklin County Humane Society.
