Charles Feldmann Obituary

Charles J. Feldmann,89, of Washington, passed away on February 27, 2026. Mr. Feldmann, son of the late Odillo Feldmann and Martha nee Ruether, was born on April 20, 1936, in Dutzow. He received his education from St. Francis Borgia High School. On August 31, 1957, he was united in marriage to Rosalie Hoelscher at St. Vincent’s Church in Dutzow.

Charlie was a drywall hanger by trade and a proud member of Carpenters Union 1839. He was member of the Knights of Columbus and The Hummingbird Club.  He enjoyed reading, watching old westerns, playing dartball, socializing at the “The Bird House” and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rosalie Feldmann; mother and father-in-law, Mike and Marian Hoelscher; two sisters, Patsy Hildrith and husband Bob and Eunice Backhaus and husband Harvey.  Brothers and sisters-in-law, Jan Feldmann, Darlene Ballmann and husband Charlie, Dave Hoelscher and wife JoAnn, Kenny Hoelscher, Norma Kohne and husband Bob, and Bob Steffens.

Among his survivors are his children, Shari Piontek and husband Darrell of Washington, Barb Meyer and husband Tim of Washington, Randy Feldmann and wife Christy of Washington, Vicky Maune and husband Gerald of Krakow, Tim Feldmann and wife Linda of Krakow, and Gina Holtmeyer and husband Greg of Washington; brother, Gerald Feldmann of St. Peters, MO. Nineteen grandchildren, Jimmy Maniaci and wife Molly, Melissa Caruso and husband Mike, Shannon Gray and husband Tim, Aaron Piontek and wife Abby, Kristi Fitzpatrick and husband Deric, Sandy Adkins and husband Avery, Mindi Meyer and significant other Brandon McRoberts, Tim Meyer, Elin Schmidt and husband John, Randy Feldmann Jr., Eric Feldmann and wife Claire, Joey Maune and wife Megan, Tommy Maune and wife Nicole, Marty Maune and fiancé Emily Moreno, Rebecca Ferree and husband Shane, Amanda Lause and husband Adam, Danny Feldmann and fiancé Allie Skaggs, Hannah Holtmeyer, and Spencer Holtmeyer and fiancé Madison Clifton; twenty three great-grandchildren. Brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike Hoelscher and wife Linda, Bob Hoelscher and wife Jeanne, Linda Kriete and husband Charlie, Nancy Steffens and friend Jim Schwaller, and Joannie Bleckman and husband Chuck; other relatives and many friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 5-8 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Interment will be at the St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church or Masses.
