Carolyn J. Puls, 85, of Eureka, passed away on July 20, 2023. Carolyn, daughter of the late Lawrence Vinson and Nevada nee Russell was born on June 5, 1938 in Springfield, IL. She received her education from Springfield High School in Illinois. On August 29, 1970, she was united in marriage to Joachim Puls at the Florissant Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Puls loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling internationally, reading, and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Deborah Beardsley; siblings, Russell Vinson, Virginia Carlyle, Mary Delores Allesandrini, Lawrence Vinson, and in-laws, Dencil Marr, Ray Dugger, Paul Carlyle, Alfred Allesandrini, and Joan Vinson.
Among her survivors are her husband, Joachim Puls of Eureka; children, David Beardsley of St. Louis, Suzanne Smith of St. Louis, Eric Puls of Reading, PA, and Ellen Schutte and husband Matt of Washington; siblings, JoAnne Dugger of Alaska and Tom Vinson and wife Carol of Springfield, IL; grandchildren, Brayden Noble, Erica Puls, Dustin Beardsley and wife Allie, Abigail Schutte, Jeremiah Smith, and Cassandra Smith; three great-grandchildren, loved ones and friends.
A private visitation will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 24, 2023 at St. Francis Borgia Church, Washington, MO. Interment will be in the RoseLawn Memorial Park in Springfield, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Parkinsons Foundation.
