Carolyn Kandlbinder Obituary

Carolyn Eleanor Kandlbinder,76, of Washington, passed away on May 3, 2025. Mrs. Kandlbinder, daughter of the late Daniel Brandt and Florence nee Sullentrup, was born on June 18, 1948, in Washington. She received her education from St. Francis Borgia High School. On May 29, 1971, she was united in marriage to Robert Kandlbinder at St. Francis Borgia Church.

Carolyn loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, celebrating holidays with her family, and taking vacations to the zoo connecting with the animals, especially at the aquarium. Carolyn loved being with her cats, Diamond, Bella, and Stretch.
 

Mrs. Kandlbinder was a very compassionate person and was the Montessori School After School Caretaker for over 15 years. She was always generous with individuals and charitable organizations.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Kandlbinder; siblings, Ervin Brandt, Richard Brandt, and Shirley Brandt; sister-in-laws, Carolyn Brandt, Sharon Brandt, Alice DeBrock, and Elaine Voss, and brother-in-laws, Jim Kandlbinder, Leo Kandlbinder, and Francis “Red” Voss.

Among her survivors are her children, Sonya Jones and husband J.R. of Washington, Jennifer Williams and husband Jay of Washington, Clinton Kandlbinder of Leander, TX, and Matthew Kandlbinder and wife Christen of Springfield, MO; two siblings, Roland Brandt of Washington and Ruth Brandt of Branson; grandchildren, Andrew Jones of Washington, Alecia Jones and husband Travis Hayes of Washington, Joseph Williams of Union, Matthew Williams and wife Hannah of Washington, Michael Williams of Washington, Rachel Williams of Washington, Paul Williams of Washington, and Lincoln Kandlbinder of Springfield, MO; two great-grandchildren, Eleanor and Theoden; In-laws, Joyce Kandlbinder, Marilyn Kandlbinder, Don Kandlbinder and wife Suzanne, Richard Kandlbinder and wife Judy, and Joseph Kandlbinder and wife Claudia; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 4-7 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Interment will be in the St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Franklin County Humane Society or the American Heart Association.
