Carolyn Brandt Obituary

Carolyn E. Brandt, 78 , of Krakow, passed away on April 28, 2022. Mrs. Brandt, daughter of the late Aloys Voelkerding and Irene nee Engemann, was born on April 14, 1944 in Augusta. She received her education from St. Francis Borgia High School. On May 15, 1965, she was united in marriage to Roland Brandt at the St. Francis Borgia Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two siblings, Merle Voelkerding and Linda Wagner; daughter-in-law, Trudy Brandt and in-laws, Ervin Brandt, Sharon Brandt, Robert Kandlbinder, Robert Wagner, and Pete Kluesner.

Among her survivors are her husband, Roland Brandt of Krakow; four children, Ronald Brandt of Krakow, Kevin Brandt and wife Stephanie of Washington, Craig Brandt and wife Pamela of Washington, and Todd Brandt of Krakow; sister, Rosalie Kluesner of Washington; brother, Clyde Voelkerding and wife Cathy of Washington; sister-in-law, Pat Voelkerding of Marthasville; sister, Laverne DuMond and husband John of El Paso, TX; sister, Emogene Ifrid and husband Bob of El Cajon, CA, and brother, Royce Voelkerding of Arizona; grandchildren, Casey Norton and husband Austin, Carmen Brandt, Brittany Brandt, Cody Brandt, Brenna Brandt, Kadin Brandt, Krista Brandt, and Kaleb Brandt; great-grandson, Luke Norton; in-laws, Carolyn Kandlbinder of Washington and Ruth Nixon of Branson; other relatives and many friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at St. Gertrude’s Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimers Association, American Cancer Society, Pro Life, or Priest For Life.
