Carol A. Walde, 77, of Washington, passed away on June 29, 2022. Carol, daughter of the late James Berlener and Wilma nee Kiewitt, was born on October 18, 1944 in Washington. She received her education from St. Francis Borgia High School. On June 27, 1964, she was united in marriage to Vernon “Buckshot” Walde at the St. Francis Borgia Church.
Carol had a love for birds and flowers. She also enjoyed going to the movies. Carol was a great mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Vernon “Buckshot” Walde.
Among her survivors are four sons, Craig Walde and wife Laurie of Washington, Jeff Walde and wife Debbie of Washington, Mike Walde and wife Karen of Washington, and Alec Walde and Colleen Flagg of Beaufort; two brothers, Tom Berlener and wife Janet of Washington and Gary Berlener and wife Anne of Washington; grandchildren, Nicole Brueggenjohann and husband Steve, Holly Wunderlich and husband Dale, Zachary Walde, Atlee Walde, Jared Walde and wife Abbie, Clayton Walde, Dylan Walde, Haley Walde, and Kody Thompson and wife Allyson; loved ones and many friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 12 p.m. on Saturday at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Interment will be in the St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the New Haven Care Center.
