Carol Branson Obituary

Carol J. Branson, 78 , of Washington, passed away on April 4, 2023. Mrs Branson, daughter of the late Claude Lawrence and June nee Blankenship, was born on May 13, 1944 in Sullivan. She received her education from Washington High School.

Carol loved to quilt and attend her grandchildren’s volleyball games and dance recitals.  She was the owner of Millennium Taxi and was most recently employed at Williams Brothers Meat Market as a cashier.

She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Edward Branson; two siblings, Rodney Lawrence and Cynthia Joyce Lawrence and brother-in-law, Tom Ruszkiewicz Sr.

Among her survivors are two children, Douglas “Doug” Branson of Cameron, NC and Dawn Mills and husband Doug of Wentzville; three siblings, Cheryl Ruszkiewicz of Canton, MI, Stanley Lawrence and wife Patty of Jefferson City, MO, and Connie Stinson and husband John of Oakville, MO; grandchildren, Douglas Branson II, Dalton Branson, Dakota Branson, Alyssa Mills, Darian Branson, Alexandra Mills, Elijah Mills, and Beckette Mills; great-grandchildren, Dean Branson, Vinny Branson, and Emerson Hall; sister-in-law, Sharon Cox; other relatives and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Memorial donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
