Buddy E. Brock

Buddy E Brock, age 69, of Washington MO passed away September 21, 2023. (surrounded by his family) Buddy, son or the late Bobby Brock and Norma Lee Johnson, was born October 3, 1953 in Tulsa OK. Buddy married his beloved wife, Bernadette Bastean, of 33 years. (or on July 21,1990) 

Buddy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He attended Fort Zumwalt High School graduating class of 1971, going on to receive his CHA (Certified Hotel Administrator) designation. Buddy worked many years in the hospitality industry.  He decided to pursue a career with AT&T and continued through his retirement. 

Throughout his life, you could find Buddy enjoying the outdoors: sitting out on the front porch drinking coffee and enjoying nature. He also enjoyed home improvements and was always taking on a new project. 

All that knew Buddy, will remember the twinkle in his eye when it became the Christmas season. He could never have too many lights on the tree or too many ornaments. He was the best at spreading Christmas joy and teaching others about the Santa magic. 

Among his survivors are his wife Bernadette Brock of Washington; children, Angela Meyers and husband Kevin of St. Charles, Melissa Brock of St. Charles, Alyse Hernandez and husband Polo of St. Charles, and Lucas Claspille and wife Courtney of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Jason Gardner Jr, Gwendolyn McGuire, Madison Gardner, Kyryn Miller, Arya Claspille, Gabriela Hernandez, and Naomi Claspille. 

A celebration of life will be held on October 14, 2023, from 2-4 p.m. at the City of Washington Main Park on High St.
