Bernard Boedges Obituary

Bernard A. Boedges, 66, of Pacific, passed away on June 5, 2024. Mr. Boedges, son of the late James Boedges and wife Loraine nee Hanson, was born on February 2, 1958 in St. Louis. He received his education from Bishop Dubourg High School. On October 13, 1987, he was united in marriage to Sharon Sullentrup in Clayton, MO. Bernard served his country honorably as a member of the United States Air Force.

Bernard loved the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, and camping. He also enjoyed listening to music and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, Kenneth and Evelyn Sullentrup nee Kriete, and in-laws, Larry Mittendorf, Terry Sullentrup, Richard Sullentrup, and Sr. Carol Sullentrup SSND.

Among his survivors are his wife, Sharon Boedges of Pacific; son, Justin Boedges of Pacific; siblings, Jim Boedges and wife Marge of Rhineland, MO, Marie Kelleman of Pacific, Janet Schottel and husband Chris of Burlington, VT, Bob Boedges and wife Nancy of Fenton, MO, David Boedges and wife Judy of Indian Mound, TN, and Richard Boedges and wife Lori of Manchester, MO; brothers and sisters-in-law, Garry Sullentrup and wife Ellen, Nancy Mittendorf, Jeanne Sullentrup, Mark Sullentrup and wife Sheri, Steve Sullentrup and significant other Gena Mayer, Dennis Sullentrup, Christopher Sullentrup and wife Sheila, Kenny Sullentrup and wife Joyce, and Lisa Holdmeier and husband Dale; other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 10-11 a.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, with a memorial service beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will full military honors will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to VFW 2661 in Washington.
