Bernard Barnes Obituary

Bernard R. Barnes,59, of Union, passed away on March 3, 2026. Bernard, son of the late Russell Barnes and Thelma nee Clark, was born on December 4, 1966, in Washington. He received his education from Washington High School.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold Buril and grandparents, George and Hazel Buril and John and Clara Clark.

Among his survivors are his siblings, Kathryn Buril of Little Rock, Arkansas, Sandra Williams and husband Willie of Shiloh, IL, Hazel Brison of Merriam, KS, Glen Buril and wife Emma of San Antonio, TX, and Dwight Buril and wife Paula of Universal City, TX; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 4-7 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Washington City Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the charity of choice.
