Audrey E. Ruether, 87, of Washington, May 26, 2025. Mrs. Ruether, daughter of the late Leslie Groeper and Luella nee Buescher, was born on February 6, 1938, in Marthasville. She received her education from Washington High School. On June 8, 1957, she was united in marriage to Carl Ruether at St. Francis Borgia Church.
Mrs. Ruether loved to go bowling and play cards, especially pinochle. She enjoyed traveling and going out to lunch with her Marthasville gals.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Carl Ruether.
Among her survivors are her two children, Kevin Ruether and wife Debbie of Washington and Karin Prather and husband Marty of Springfield, MO; brother, Larry Groeper and wife Jan of Washington; grandchildren, Tiffany Brinker and husband Kevin, Brett Ruether and wife Cortney, Michael Ruether and wife Maggie, and Rachel Tiner and husband Joe; great-grandchildren, Cole Brinker, Heidi Brinker, Jackson Lynch, Morgan Ruether, Karsyn Ruether, Nolan Ruether, Calvin Ruether, Madden Ruether, Charlotte Ruether, Ellis Ruether, Violet Ruether, and Haze Tiner; loved ones and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 4-7 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Interment will be in the St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimers Association.
