Arthur A. Dobkins

Arthur “Andy” Dobkins , 63 , of Lonedell, passed away on August 31, 2021. Arthur, son of the late Arthur L. Dobkins and his wife Lillian nee Hollingshead, was born on November 3, 1957 in Rolla. He received his education from the Steelville School District. On June 27, 2015, he was united in marriage to Rachel Summers in Cuba, MO.

Andy worked for All Type Fence for over 30 years. He was also a bouncer, starting at age 18, retiring from it at 55.  He loved to ride motorcycles, make people laugh, and most of all he loved his grandchildren. Andy was a hard working man and one of the strongest men we ever knew.

Among his survivors are his wife, Rachel Summers of Lonedell; mother, Lillian Shoemake of Steelville; children, Noel Basham and fiance Jason Gibson of Owensville, Shawn “Luke” Basham of Gerald, Trina Basham of Owensville, and Delores “Hope” Basham of Washington; grandchildren, Alivia, Kaydence, Blair, Evie, Blaizly, Hunter, Carter, Violet, Raelynn, Kila, Iris, Attilia, Linkin, and Lucian; brother-in-law, David Summers and wife Becky of New Haven and Shawn Summers of Marthasville.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 5-8 P.M. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Memorial donations can be made to the family of Arthur Dobkins.
