Arlene E. Boeckmann

Arlene E. Boeckmann, 83 , of Washington, passed away on December 12, 2020. Mrs. Boeckmann, daughter of the late George Spaunhorst, and his wife Alice NEE Banken, was born December 6, 1937 in Washington. She received her education from the grade school in Clover Bottom. On January 14, 1961, she was united in marriage to Lester Boeckmann at the Assumption Catholic Church in New Haven. Arlene worked at Wondermaid Garment Factory for many years, until their closure, and then babysat for many children throughout Washington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester Boeckmann, and three siblings, Virginia Voss, Eugene Spaunhorst, and Victor Spaunhorst.

Among her survivors are two children, Alan Boeckmann and wife June of Washington and Joan Arens and husband Steve of Union; siblings, Leona Jacquin and husband Harvey of Washington and Jerome Spaunhorst and wife Ruth of Washington; four grandchildren, Ryan Boeckmann of Paris, MO, Andrea Gerlemann and husband Kurtis of Gerald, Amanda Armstrong and husband Josh of Union, and Jacob Arens and significant other Holly of Washington; seven great-grandchildren, Kendall Armstrong, Mia Armstrong, Zoey Armstrong, Elena Armstrong, Veronica Gerlemann, William Gerlemann, and Macy Arens; other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 8:30-10:00 A.M. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, with a parish rosary at 9:15 A.M. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 10 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, with interment in the St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Masses.
