Anica Finder Obituary

Anica L. Finder, 48, of Union, passed away on January 29, 2024. Ms. Finder, daughter of Anton J. Finder and Betty J. Mobbs, was born on November 18, 1975, in Truckee, CA. She received her education from Washington High School and East Central College with a degree in nursing.

For anyone who knew Anica Lynn Finder she was a wonderful nurse and loved deeply about caring for her patients. She loved gardening. She saw the beauty in growing flowers. She also thought it was good therapy when she was troubled. She loved her fur babies. There wasn't a dog she didn't love. Those babies gave her a comfort no other could give her. Since she wasn't able to have children, she loved her nieces and nephews, and their babies with all her heart. There was nothing to big or small she wouldn't have done for them or with them. She had a heart for adventure, always willing to try something new.

One of Anica’s greatest joys in life was nurturing the earth as an avid gardener. The vibrant colors and fragrant blooms she cultivated mirrored the beauty she brought into the lives of others. Her green thumb was not just a hobby but a reflection of the nurturing spirit that defined Anica’s character.

Family was at the center of Anica’s world, and she found immense joy in spending quality time with her loved ones. As an aunt, she embraced the role with boundless love and joy, creating cherished memories that will forever be etched in the hearts of her nieces and nephews.

Anica leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and a profound love for life. Though she may no longer be physically present, the warmth of her spirit will continue to blossom in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Her grandparents, Anton and Agnes Finder, Daniel and Frances Mobbs, and nephew James Cook, preceded her in death.

Among her survivors are her mother, Betty J. Finder of Washington; Anton J. Finder and wife Carolyn of Washington; three siblings, Danny Nichols and wife Tracy of Batavia, IL, Amber Helmerichs and husband Allen of Lake Ozark, MO, and Tony Finder and wife Vicky of Marthasville; seven nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Washington, MO.

Memorial donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
