Sandra Siess

Sandra K. Siess (nee McDaniel), 69, of Washington, passed away on August 7, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Sandra, the daughter of the late James (Skeeter) McDaniel and Dorothy (nee Gerritsen), was born on November 8, 1949, in Washington, Missouri. On December 18, 1971, at St. Francis Borgia Church, she married her loving husband Mark Siess. She worked as a teacher, and taught English, German, and Reading. Sandra enjoyed gardening, traveling, cooking, gaming, and relaxing in the country. She especially cherished her time spent with her loving family. She would play with them while teaching them life lessons that they would remember forever. 
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Patricia Door; son-in-law, Jarrod Cox; and nephew, David Door.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Siess of Washington; children, Joshua Siess and wife Janice of Affton, Alicea Coullard and husband Bryan of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, and Angela Lopez and husband James of Washington; siblings, Roger and Janet McDaniel of Garfield, AR, and James and Ellen McDaniel of Lake St. Louis; grandchildren, Samuel, Daniel, Adelyn, Alyvia, Ayrica, Aubrey, and Alison; step grandchildren, Alex, Emmy and Jared Lopez, and Lindsay Peel; step great grandchild, Chase Hall; Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Richard Door, Stephen Siess and Rhonda, Claudia Lemons and Rick, Barbara Labit and James; beloved cousin, Charla and Rick Stone; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She also touched many students’ lives during her years of teaching.
A visitation will be held on Monday, August 12, 2019, from 4:00-8:00 pm at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Interment will follow at St. Francis Borgia Cemetery.
