Phyllis Stacy Obituary

Phyllis A. Stacy, 78, of Marthasville, passed away on March 13, 2019, at her residence in Marthasville. Mrs. Stacy, daughter of the late Raymond Thilges and his wife Marie (nee Fisch) was born March 16, 1940, in St. Joe, Iowa. She received her education in St. Joe, Iowa. On November 24, 1962, she was united in marriage to Larry Stacy in St. Joe. Phyllis loved the outdoors, doing crafts, and most of all she loved to sing Happy Birthday to whoever’s birthday was being celebrated. Phyllis never met a stranger and could have a conversation with anyone.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Larry Stacy.

 

Among her survivors are four children, Marsha Hellmann and husband Kurt of New Orleans, Louisiana, Lisa Hogenmiller and husband Leo of Washington, Kevin Stacy of Marthasville, and Melinda Stacy-Stephens and husband Mark of Wentzville; brother, Kenneth Thilges and wife Nancy of Phoenix, Arizona; sister, Marilyn Bondurant and husband Gene of Lebanon, Missouri; five grandchildren, Matt Hogenmiller and wife Katie of Pacific, Andy Hogenmiller and wife Magen of Joplin, Ryan Hogenmiller and fiancée Becca Tegeler of Marthasville, Brendan Juergensmeyer of Wentzville, and Tyler Juergensmeyer of Wentzville; great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.

 

A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2019, from 3-6 P.M. at Miller Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 18, 2019, at 10 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, with interment in the St. Francis Borgia Catholic Cemetery. Memorial donations are appreciated to the Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
