Nick W Rector

Anthony “Nick” Rector of Washington passed away on September 1, 2019 in Washington. Nick, son of the late Oscar Rector and his wife Rose NEE Branson, was born March 17, 1948 in Washington. He received his education from Washington High School.  Mr. Rector served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army.  On May 4, 1974, he was united in marriage to Laura Lottmann at St. Gertrude’s Church. Nick worked at Modern Auto for 30 years, and then went to the Washington Vocational School and worked in collision repair for 15 years. He was baptized and confirmed into the catholic faith on March 26, 2016 and was a member of St. Gertrude’s Parish.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Oscar “Jip” Rector, James Rector and wife Imelda, and Elphene “Dude” Rector and his wife Atha; Father-in-law, Vernon Lottmann and wives Adele and Eileen.

Among his survivors are his wife Laura Rector of Washington; three children, Edward Rector of Washington, Elizabeth Hellmann and husband Travis of Washington, and Nicole Sentivany and husband Scott of Arkansas; sister, Joyce Huff of Aurora, MO; granddaughter, Auden Sentivany; In-Laws, Janet Rector of Hermann, Larry Lottmann and Sherry Swindle of Villa Ridge, Rick Lottmann of Washington, and Linda Wilmesher and husband Dave of Virginia; other relatives, and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 11 A.M. at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church, with interment in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 from 4-8 P.M. at Nieburg-Vitt,Miller Funeral Home. Memorial donations can be made to St. Vincent DePaul, St. Gertrude’s Church, or Masses.
